Goals and Objectives

‘Speak Up through Design' is the theme of the Open Call Poster Project – topics include Minority Rights, History of Partition (70 years of Division/Independence), Urban Narrative of Old Town (Inner City), Alternative Facts, Whistleblowers and Polarizing Politicians. The interactive sessions discussed issues as to whether the contemporary social and political unrest is about left or right, or right and wrong; and can one still trust the media when issues are complex and international? The activities emphasized that graphic designers play an important role in visualizing outspoken opinions. ‘Graphic Matters’ shows critical imagination by activists, who honor freedom of expression and challenge their audience in order to shape their personal opinion.‘Graphic Matters’ shows critical imagination by activists, who honor freedom of expression and challenge their audience in order to shape their personal opinion. ‘Graphic Matters’ shows critical imagination by activists, who honor freedom of expression and challenge their audience in order to shape their personal opinion.
